I often have to kill a lot of enemies so I'm not under leveled, but even then I usually avoid most cause there's no reason to fight. It can lead to some interesting situations, but just as often you get no warps in two neighboring areas and have to constantly backtrack to get back to base because a certain store decided it didn't want to sell waystones.
