Pass the end of the thread through the presser foot, and then pull out about 5 cm (2 inches) of thread toward the rear of the machine. Never use a bobbin case that is scratched; otherwise, the upper thread may become tangled, the needle may break, or sewing performance may suffer. The thread is then passed under the metal and out the side of the bobbin case. To start make sure to remove the thread and needle after unplugging the machine. - Check to see if the bobbin case is scratched or has a burr on it. If the upper thread is incorrectly threaded, the upper thread passed through the fabric cannot be firmly pulled up and the upper thread becomes tangled in the bobbin case, causing a rattling noise. The thread becomes tangled on the lower side of the fabric. Never use a bobbin case that is scratched; otherwise, the upper thread may become tangled, the needle may break, or sewing performance may suffer. Using 3rd party bobbins may result in poor stitch quality or even damage your machine. Feed the upper thread as shown in the illustration below.
