First I want to say this property is awesome! The club features an 18 hole golf course, club house with dining room and poker machine area, a large function room, pro shop, driving range, putting green, tennis courts, cricket oval and recreational grounds. We loved everything about it. Pay for the tasting at La Destileria or La Europea instead, unless all you wantia a free sip of tequila while you shop for souvenirs. This is a fractional ownership resort, one of 19 that Westin runs. Very nice hotel with large swimming pools, Jacuzzi, and nice beach. After lunch we went to the back pool area, which was fun for a bachelorette party, which we were. The grounds were beautiful, landscaped with three large pools (two are infinity pools and two have swim-up bars), several hot tubs, an area of hammocks, several areas of top-notch grills (they provide the spatula and tongs) and of course towel service from pool-side cabanas. We went on a tequila tasting, fed the iguanas at the small on-site Mayan ruins and made s’mores at a beach campfire while two young staffers played guitar and sang. We cant wait to go back. All the staff were wonderful, sweet and a joy to be around. Finally, Jesus the front desk manager let us have a late check out in one room since our flight was late that day and he literally saved the front desk from a horrifying review. The pool was very nice and large but I thought the water was a little cold. Duna Bar and Oceana are open later into the evening, but the pool bar and grill closes at 6pm. It was fully stocked including a toaster and washer/dryer stack. This is a huge untruth. The Wantima Country Club golf course at Albany Creek is great. The room has kitchenette which can be called as a full kitchen, as it includes dishes, cooking fans, and nearly everything that we need. We went to the Sports Bar to watch a game one night and ordered chicken fingers and after a very long wait they actually brought us chicken nuggets which were not chicken breast but processed chicken. We loved it. The one bedroom has a full kitchen and dining area. The oral cavity is an essential part of the body and contributes to total health and well-being. OMG.
